Frances Figart (Fié-gert) is the creative director of Smokies Life, one of four nonprofit partners of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. She edits Smokies Life Journal and directs a creative team of seven writers, editors, graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, and videographers who produce books, periodicals, videos, podcasts, and many other projects that help park visitors understand the cultural and natural history of the Southern Appalachian region.
